About

The name

tomorrow's history, yesterday's future / 昨日の未来、明日の歴史
This refers to the fact it is a little like a diary and was actually named in Japanese first, for an old blog, and then translated to English.
The romanization is kinou no mirai, ashita no reikishi

The address

"wallet" and "sword" are both translations of my name in two different languages - and I kind of liked them as they remind me of the kanji for "rule" when learnt in the Heisig method, which was described as money and a sword.

The tagline

Somewhere in space, this may all be happening right now
is from a trailer for Star Wars although I actually got it from an UNKLE track called Drums of Death which sampled it.

The content, amongst other things.

Generally a mix of:
Travel stuff which is really a companion piece to photos and photo albums that are linked within. This includes my 2013 trips which were placed (partially in jest) under a Beacons of Democracy tag.
Reviews of things as and when I see fit. I will usually review stuff that I think that people are interested in or, often that they are not interested in because they do not know about it. This makes it much more likely to be, for example, foreign language films or those that do not get a massive release. Games are a little more problematic as they are longer, but I may look at shorter, indie style games.
My first few weeks in Japan when I moved there. This is printed, verbatim, from that time when I had a website that I intermittently updated in 2003.
Other things that catch my eye or my mind.

Navigation

There is a set of labels, or tags, that the posts are categorised under and there is also a calendar style view so you can find the appropriate time. I will usually post things as if it was done at the time, so even if I write about it later, it will usually be posted roughly when the event took place.
